Frustrated apologies (WOYWW)

It is time for another WOYWW, but first an apology. My computer is still not playing ball and I was unable to comment on many people’s entries last week…I am so sorry and hopefully I will be able to comment back this week.  My desk this week is covered in books and notes as I am in the process of planning a prayer evening at church, and choosing the worship songs for it. It is a real privilege to be able to do this, if somewhat nerve wracking as it is the first church session I have led in about 15 years.
I have actually managed to do a little crafting in the past week and made this birthday card for my sister in law who loves cats.  It was a quick and simple card to make as it just involved cutting out a hot off the press paper for the bottom left hand corner and then stamping the words and the cat.
I am hoping to make a start on my ATCs next week so let me know in the comments if you would like to swap one with me.  Have a great week everyone.

Silly family smiles!

Well I am finally around on a Friday when I can actually post and can join in with Annie's smiles. My little boy celebrated his 7th birthday earlier this month
and he spent the day pretending to be a spy.
I then went away to a conference the following week and then down to my parents for Easter where we had some great fun as a family (walks, bicycle rides, parks, science experiments in the garden and the inevitable Easter Egg hunt)...this photo just sums up my bonkers family and makes me grin...I hope you like it.  Have a great weekend everyone

Back again and WOYWW!

Well I have had a series of things get in the way of blogging recently, most annoying of which have been computer and camera issues.  I don't know if they are fully sorted, but I will try and join in with WOYWW today anyway!  This is my desk as it looked last night (it doesn't look much different now), clean and tidy after being away for Easter.  The little yellow duck at the back originally came from church and contained a Cadbury's crème egg (eaten with much mess and relish by Alex) and is sat there waiting for me to find some stuffing and sew it up - Alex just adores any form of cuddly toy!  The rather strange looking red dotted mat partly hiding under my art journal is actually a flat 'coaster' from a cell company that I was given at a conference a few weeks ago.
Although I don't have any crafting to show you I thought I would share these lovely spring flower photos from my time in Somerset over Easter as they always make me feel happy. This one is a double tulip - the rest are self explanatory.

That is all from me for now. Have a wonderful week everyone.

P.S.I will be making some extra ATCs for the WOYWW 5 year anniversary.  If anyone would like to swap them with me then please let me know in your comment...I really enjoy looking at my collection from last year and would love to do the same again this year.  Thank you!

Party smiles!

Well my little boy celebrates his 7th birthday this week and so my smiles are from the party he had last weekend.  He chose to celebrate in a softplay centre and had a wonderful time diving into the ball pit,

Burying himself underneath all the balls and then popping up with a cheeky grin,

And then having party food which finished with cake and the most raucous (and tuneless) rendition of Happy Birthday I have ever heard…It was hilarious and he loved every minute of it.

We also had a lovely Mothering Sunday consisting of beautiful flowers, presents in bed, a lovely church service followed by cake and tea, then a delicious meal out at a restaurant (Alex was happy lying on the floor drawing when he wasn't eating and no one minded)

and a lovely walk in the spring sunshine, complete with some Mother and Son selfies…

this one was taken at arm’s length in a tunnel in the playground and caused much hilarity!  That is all from me for now. I am off to join this into Annie’s smiles now.  Have a lovely weekend.

Clown eggs (WOYWW)

Well it is Wednesday and time to show my desk again as part of WOYWW.  This time it is occupied by some of Alex’s crafting.  School is holding an ‘Eggstravaganza’ in which the kids have to decorate eggs and present them and the theme is circus.  Alex has made his two clown eggs, and is currently decorating the circus ring to put them on.  The stickers are there, ready for the edge of the circus ring, and he has coloured in the rings.  The little green holders were cut out of an egg box and help support the eggs.  My mug of tea is missing to prevent accidents!

Here is a close up of his creation!

It is his birthday soon and he has asked for everything Spy for his presents, so I have made him a card that also fits the bill.  I photoshopped his head onto a spy child body placed it onto the James Bond background.  Not sure how clear it is in this photo, but I am hopeful that he will like it.  Anyway, that is all from me for now.  Have a great week everyone.
